DAVE O. WHITE, Jr.
Raised in Camarillo, Dave White, Jr. has had a varied and productive career in the construction industry in California, Nevada and Georgia, involved in building more than 31 construction projects ranging in value up to $66 million, with a total value of $208.5 million. Over $114 million of these projects were managed directly by Mr. White. These projects included mid- and high-rise commercial office buildings, large-scale hotels and casinos, parking structures, retail stores, restaurants, apartments, warehouse and distribution facilities, and fuel stations. In January 2002 he teamed with Lee Sehon to form Channel Islands Building & Development Partners, Inc. The two men brought a collective 36 years experience to the partnership, and have many projects in process. White is Chairman of the Board of the EDC-VC (Economic Development Collaborative Ventura County). The EDC-VC is a regional public/private partnership formed by and between local government officials and private industry leaders to support and enhance efforts for regional economic development. The EDC-VC Board of Directors consists of 12 public/government members and 24 private sector members. Elected city officials and two Ventura County Supervisors represent the public sector members. He earned a B.S. in construction management from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 1988, and holds a California Real Estate Broker license (#01366804). He lives with his wife, Wendy, and four children, in Camarillo. In his leisure time, he enjoys surfing, fishing, camping and home schooling activities. |
LEE SEHON
Raised in Palos Verdes, California, Lee Sehon began working in construction after his graduation from high school. He continued working summer construction jobs during his college years, gaining management, leadership and contracting skills from the ground up. His career has included assignments in California, Washington, and Hawaii. Before he teamed with Dave White, Jr. in January 2002 to form Channel Islands Building & Development Partners, Inc., he had built or contributed to more than 20 construction projects ranging in value up to $220 million, with a total value of $556 million. Over $89 million worth of these projects were managed directly by Mr. Sehon. These included mid- and high-rise commercial office buildings, parking structures, large-scale luxury resorts, condominiums, warehouses, dams, hydroelectric power plants, a wastewater treatment plant, bridges, and highways. His work has included seismic retrofitting of Interstate 280 (damaged in the Loma Prieta earthquake), and reconstruction of the Butte Canyon bridge on Interstate 5 (damaged in the Northridge earthquake). He earned a B.S. in construction management from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 1989. He has also earned a Juris Doctorate in Law from Golden Gate University, San Francisco, in 2000. He lives with his wife, Kim, and two children, in Ventura. His interests include family activities, surfing and outdoor physical/sporting activities. |
